Athletics track resurface

Design & construct

Track and field athletics is a huge passion for Fieldform, Company Director, James Coney has been actively involved in the sport for over twenty years both as an athlete and coach. During this time James has visited hundreds of track and field facilities in the UK witnessing some great examples of design, using this personal experience, we can design and construct a range of facilities for both entry level and high performance including:

  • Rooftop sprint straights.
  • J-tracks providing a 200m facility with bend and straight.
  • Bespoke run, jump and throw event facilities where space for a traditional 400m track is unavailable.
  • Sprint straights.
  • Horizontal jumps facilities suitable for both long and triple jump including multi-lane run ups.
  • Vertical jumps facilities suitable for high jump and pole vault.
  • Javelin run ups.
  • Throws facilities for both shot put and long throws (discus and hammer).
  • Safety cage installations.
  • Indoor track and field facilities.
  • Floodlight installation.
  • Daily Mile tracks using a variety of surfaces including polymeric, resin-bonded and synthetic grass.
  • Re-modelling of existing sports facilities to include track and field provision, i.e. extending a MUGA to include a sprint straight, including recessed areas on an artificial pitch for a landing pit enabling horizontal jumps practice.

To ensure your track and field facilities continue to be maximised we can also offer clients a maintenance service that includes cleaning, line marking, surface repairs and facility refurbishment. In addition to our constructing track and field facilities Fieldform can also offer a full fit out service providing clients with essential equipment including hurdles, starting blocks, landing beds, uprights and bespoke pit covers.

The School are very happy with the new running track, and the children are choosing to keep on running even when they have completed their daily mile. Pupils have told their teachers the new track is very cushioned and bounces underfoot. Our grounds maintenance contractors who look after playing fields for many schools throughout Test Valley and Hampshire said it is by far the best running track installation they have seen, and were very impressed with how level it sits in the playing field.
