Innovative Construction

Fieldform were recently approached by a private client to explore the potential of developing an area of unused space into a tennis court that could be utilised throughout the year by the entire family. Following an initial site visit we developed a design that included a synthetic playing surface and a bespoke, fully integrated retaining wall and perimeter fence, our attention to detail and immediate rapport with the client helped secure this project.

The works area presented several challenges during the initial excavations including, uncovering soft ground and a former fire pit, these issues were quickly overcome by close consultation between and client and our site team and the presentation of several design options including the provision of a drainage system and increasing the depth of the specified sub base.

Following the completion of the new tennis court we are extremely proud of the finished product, innovative features include a retaining wall built using rustic materials to provide a subtle backdrop and a low level fence to ensure the court is in keeping with the surrounding countryside.
